Live Like A Celebrity By Renting One of Their Homes

They may not come around personally in the middle of the night to fix your sink or to unclog a toilet, but a number of prominent celebrities do have side gigs as landlords. Here’s our round up of those with properties currently on the market, both as vacation rentals and long-term opportunities.

Despite undoubtedly having a shoe closet large enough to house a Carrie Bradshaw-esque collection of footwear, Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon has been unable to sell her Upper East Side penthouse since putting it on the market in 2014 at $34 million. After a price cut to $27 million failed to entice buyers to open their wallets, the British businesswoman put her five-bedroom duplex penthouse up for rent for $60,000 in July.

However, she recently had a change of heart about the value of the 7,000-square-foot property, which is on the top of The Grand Carhart building, and pushed the rent up to $85,000 per month. Property records showed she paid $20 million for it in 2008.
